DAVE DOUGLAS' MOUNTAIN PASSAGES

Dave Douglas (trumpet/composer), Michael Moore (alto sax, clarinet, bass clarinet), Peggy Lee (cello), Marcus Rojas (tuba) and Dylan van der Schyff (drums). On Mountain Passages, these musicians unite their distinct musical personas into an ensemble with an extraordinary sound.

MERCURY

Montréal duo Mercury is the product of a longstanding collaboration between two of the city's most notable proponents of improvised music; Lori Freedman (clarinets) and Nicolas Caloia (double bass).

DON BYRON SOLO

The Grammy-nominated, Pulitzer Prize finalist and Guggenheim fellow Don Byron was one of the highlights of Something Else's 2019 line-up and we're very grateful to have him return to Hamilton this year.

WAYNE HORVITZ & ROBIN HOLCOMB

Pianists and composers Robin Holcomb (piano, voice) and Wayne Horvitz (keyboards, electronics) have a “staggeringly beautiful” musical partnership.

THE LOWLIGHTERS

A guitarist (Kevin Breit) who plays every song like it came to him in a fever-dream. A tuba player (Tom Richards) who knows when to dig in. A drummer (Lowell Whitty) who is the bull AND the china shop. A trumpeter (Kae Murphy) who will spellbind you with melody... introducing The Lowlighters.
