The Lowlighters

Let's say you want to build a band.

First imagine a towering, legendary figure who plays every song like it came to him in a fever-dream. Kevin Breit rides his guitar like an out-of-control shopping cart from hell. He will incant strange and beautiful melodies as he careens through the din. Alchemy for your ears.

Maybe there should be a tuba in the band. Tom Richards knows how to make it work - has seen his share of close calls, and knows when to dig in. Tom hits that four like it stole his lunch money.

The thing about a bull in a china shop is how great it sounds and how exciting it is when it's happening. Also - makes an amazing story for later. Drummer Lowell Whitty is the bull AND the china shop. This world can be too safe: Just when you think you'll never feel again, L-Dub knocks on the door to your heart.

Our featured guest for this show is Kae Murphy. With eight tentacled arms and the capacious lungs of a North Atlantic right whale, Kae will gently coax you into their subaqueous den to spellbind you with melody. When Kae picks up a trumpet, all the animals of the land and sea gather to listen.

Ladies and Gentlemen, introducing The Lowlighters.
